Thierry Henry tells Liverpool to tighten up at the back to stand a chance in Champions League race

Former Arsenal forward Thierry Henry does not believe in Liverpool’s chance to win the Champions League if they keep conceding the number of goals they have this season.
“Liverpool… I don’t know, Jamie [Carragher] said it, I do think from already pre-season they concede too many goals, they need to erase that,” Henry said on CBS Sports.
“They got bailed out again the other day against Burnley and you have to find a way to win games, so we’re not complaining about that.
“But in the Champions League, if you concede too many goals it’s a tough one to win.”
Liverpool conceded two goals in four out of six games this season, including the Champions League opener against Atletico Madrid.
Despite that, they have only lost the Community Shield on penalties, winning all the other matches.

we played well last night, much better defensively, 2 deflected goals and first shouldn’t have stood anyway

Those goals were rubbish, the 1st one had to be cancelled out, was clear obstruction/interference, the 2nd one was a joke of a deflection,..wasn’t the defence’s fault

David Siebers takes over at VfL Bochum and could defeat his friend Miroslav Klose in his first match

David Siebers has taken charge at VfL Bochum as interim coach following the dismissal of Dieter Hecking. Under Hecking, the team collected only three points from five matches.
On Saturday, a crucial test awaits: an away game against bottom club 1. FC Nurnberg. Bochum aims to get back on track under Siebers.
The match carries extra intrigue because Siebers knows Nurnberg coach Miroslav Klose well. The two completed their coaching licenses together.
But Siebers is clear: “We have to ruthlessly stick to our plan. Because of the coaching license we have a connection, and I wish him all the best for his career. On Saturday, though, it’s a different story. It’s about VfL and our three points.”
The former U19 coach now has until the international break on October 10 to stabilize the team. “I personally don’t feel any pressure, I rather feel great anticipation. Especially when I see how the team is responding on the training ground.”
“I’m looking forward to unleashing the boys at the weekend,” Siebers added.
