rsenal and Man City are reportedly both interested in signing a Paris Saint-Germain star Thierry Henry called “astonishing”.

The Gunners are going into the international break in a strong position. They are top of the Premier League table, and hoping to continue their momentum after the break with a relatively good run of fixtures coming up. They won 2-0 against West Ham in their last game before the break.

Their title rivals Liverpool have lost their last two league games, which has also helped Man City get back into the race, as Pep Guardiola’s side are looking like they have reclaimed some form from last season.

Both Arsenal and City will be desperate to improve their squads in the January transfer window to try and overcome Liverpool for the league title. Fresh reports have suggested that they may be looking towards Champions League winners PSG for their next piece of the puzzle.

Man City and Arsenal considering move for Zaire-Emery

Warren Zaire-Emery is considered one of the most exciting footballers in the world. His talent both on and off the ball is clear to see, and aged just 19, many believe that the French international will become a world beater in the near future.

However, his role at PSG has reduced in recent months due to the amount of competition he has from other members of Luis Enrique’s squad, and that could force him to leave. Caught Offside are reporting that PSG could be willing to sell the Frenchman for £69.5m, and that both Arsenal and Man City are considering a move for him.

Zaire-Emery has made nine appearances so far this season for PSG both in Ligue 1 and the Champions League, but he is yet to score or assist.

Henry dubbed Zaire-Emery as “astonishing”

The midfielder primarily plays in a holding role, as he is both physical when winning the ball, but also great in transition, helping PSG to get themselves onto the counter-attack.

This talent is appreciated by Arsenal legend Thierry Henry, who has been quoted calling the 19-year-old an “astonishing” player. Henry told CBS Sports: “The sky is the limit. I have never seen a player that young being so mature.

“Usually, you have youngsters that play as forwards that make the difference. But when you play in midfield for a team like PSG, you need to readjust. It is rare to see such a young player in that position. It’s truly astonishing what he can do at the moment.”
