Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold is now said to have AGREED to join Real Madrid this summer.

Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold is now said to have AGREED to join Real Madrid this summer.
Alexander-Arnold is one of three key players who will be out of contract at the end of the season and the right-back has been heavily linked with a move to Madrid. The La Liga giants had a formal approach rejected by Liverpool earlier this month.
However, Madrid have not given up on the idea of signing Alexander-Arnold in the January transfer window instead of waiting until the summer, where they could land the England interntional for free.
The Spanish giants are short on options at right-back after Dani Carvajal suffered a season-ending ACL injury, with midfielder Federico Valverde forced to deputise at times so far this season. And reports from Spain now say that Alexander-Arnold has ‘verbally agreed’ to join Madrid, but it remains to be seen whether the move will happen this month or in the summer.

Marca believe that Madrid are still hopeful Liverpool will let the England international leave this month and that he is the only player they are targeting in the January window. Manager Carlo Ancelotti has remained tight-lipped when asked about potential signings.
Speaking earlier this month, he said: “January signings? It’s a bit more complicated to talk about this. We’ll see, we’ll see. Talking about this is not easy at the moment. I said that we will not sign anyone in January before.
“Look, I can’t talk about it now. This is not the time and place. We will see what will happen but I have a great squad. We have got injuries and problems with that but we are also able to overcome them.”

Talk over Alexander-Arnold’s future has been rife at Anfield in recent weeks which has led to concerns that the saga could have a detrimental effect on Arne Slot’s side as they bid to win the Premier League title.
The Reds academy graduate, meanwhile, has insisted he remains fully committed to Liverpool for the remainder of the season, with the Reds currently four points clear at the top of the table with a game in hand.
“I want to be a Liverpool player this season (as a minimum) is what I will say,” Alexander-Arnold said when quizzed about his future. “Look, I have been at the club 20 years now, I have signed four or five contract extensions, none of those have been played out in public, and this one won’t be either.”
