Liverpool next five fixtures compared to Arsenal after Champions League dream ends

Liverpool crashed out of the Champions League on Tuesday night after losing on penalties to Paris Saint-Germain in the last-16. Arne Slot’s men found themselves 1-0 down at half-time after Ousmane Dembele netted to level the tie 1-1 on aggregate – after Liverpool won the first leg.

It was a frustrating half for the Reds, who created plenty of chances but were unable to fully test PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. Liverpool’s frustration continued upon the restart, with Jarell Quansah hitting the post and plenty of pressure on the PSG goal, but no breakthrough.

Slot’s men were then taken to extra time, but neither side could be separated as the tie went to penalties. Darwin Nunez and Curtis Jones subsequently missed to see Liverpool’s dreams of a seventh European Cup end for another season.
