Myles Lewis-Skelly has made a habit of breaking records since he burst onto the scene for Arsenal this season.

The left-back was sitting on the Gunners’ bench as a relatively unknown as recently as December.

But since making his first Premier League start that month, Lewis-Skelly has established himself as a vital cog in Mikel Artera’s side.

His form caught the eye of England manager Thomas Tuchel who called him up to the Three Lions squad for their World Cup qualifiers against Latvia and Albania last month.

And after being handed his debut against Albania, Lewis Skelly needed just 20 minutes to repay Tuchel’s faith by scoring the first goal of the new era in a 2-0 victory.

That made Lewis Skelly the youngest player in history to score on his senior England debut at 18 years and 176 days — surpassing Marcus Rashford who scored against Australia in May 2016 aged 18 years and 209 days.

And when the teenager was selected in Arteta’s side for the Champions League semi-final first leg 1-0 defeat against Paris Saint-Germain at the Emirates, it saw him break two more

Lewis Skelly became both the youngest Englishman and the youngest Premier League player to appear in a Champions League last-four clash at 18 years 215 days.

And Lewis Skelly may even lay claim to have broken a third record on the night as the man to have had two records taken away from him… in record-breaking time!

His records stood for just 90 minutes before being ripped away by his own team-mate as Ethan Nwaneri, aged 18 years and 39 days, replaced Martin Odegaard with the match entering stoppage time.

Arsenal winger Nwaneri even has a chance to become the youngest ever player to win the European Cup — of any nationality from any league.

That record belongs to Antonio Simoes who won it with Benfica in 1962 aged 18 Years and 139 Days. Lewis Skelly is already too old to claim that mantle.

However, should Arsenal win the Champions League in Munich on May 31 with Nwaneri in the line-up, he will set a new mark at 18 years and 71 days.
