Leicester confirm Cifuentes appointment

Leicester have confirmed the appointment of Marti Cifuentes as their new manager.

Cifuentes has signed a two-year deal at the King Power Stadium, with the option of a further year.

The 43-year-old replaces Ruud van Nistelrooy, who left the club after seven months in the role following their relegation to the Championship.

Cifuentes was placed on gardening leave by QPR and left the club at the end of June after holding talks with West Brom before Ryan Mason was appointed.

Leicester’s season in the second tier begins against Sheffield Wednesday on August 10.
