Amazing Premier League record set during Chelsea vs Liverpool

During Chelsea’s dramatic 2–1 victory over Liverpool at the weekend, history was made when four of the most expensive players ever signed in the Premier League shared the pitch.
Swedish striker Alexander Isak joined Liverpool earlier this season for a record £125 million, making him the costliest British club signing to date.
Meanwhile, Florian Wirtz arrived at Anfield for approximately £116 million in the same window, putting him near the top of the all-time list.
Meanwhile, Moises Caicedo moved to Chelsea in 2023 in a deal of £100 million (reported) with add-ons pushing it toward £115 million.
Enzo Fernandez, who joined the Blues from Benfica after winning the World Cup with Argentina, cost around £106.8 million in 2023.
That means at one point during the game, those four — Isak, Wirtz, Caicedo and Fernandez — were all on the field together.
It’s a unique moment that underlines just how inflated transfer fees have become in modern Premier League football.
