It was a Sunday afternoon to remember as an Eberechi Eze hat-trick inspired Arsenal to a 4-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby.

It was Leandro Trossard who gave the Gunners the lead in the 36th minute, before Eze stole the show with fantastic strikes in the 41st, 46th and 76th minutes.

Richarlison gave Tottenham temporary hope at 3-1 in the 55th minute with an incredible effort from just inside his own half, beating a backpedalling David Raya all ends up.

But the relief was temporary for a Spurs side completely outplayed by their neighbours, who are now six points clear at the top of the Premier League table and looking every inch champions in waiting.

David Raya: 61%

Caught well off his line by a stunning Richarlison effort. Made one routine save later in the second half on what was an otherwise very quiet afternoon.

Jurrien Timber: 65%

Involved in Arsenal’s first three goals, including getting the assist for Eze’s second. A superb attacking force, who really should have grabbed a goal of his own. Barely worked defensively by this lacklustre Tottenham side.

William Saliba: 58%

Arguably the easiest North London derby Saliba will ever have. The Frenchman got the job done when needed, making one tackle, four clearances and three recoveries, while he kept Arsenal’s tempo up with a match-high 61 passes at a 95% success rate.

Piero Hincapie: 67%

Some fixture to make your first Arsenal start. Hincapie couldn’t have wished for a better baptism in red and white, posting similar numbers to Saliba in a breeze of an afternoon.

Riccardo Calafiori: 68%

Played the ball forward at every possible opportunity, including five passes into the opposition third. The busiest of Arsenal’s defenders, but was rock-solid, making three tackles, two interceptions, and one clearance, while winning both of his aerial duels and six of his eight overall duels.

Martin Zubimendi: 53%

Caught in possession in midfield for Richarlison’s goal, ruining what was otherwise another impressive afternoon from the Spaniard.

Declan Rice: 67%

Alert to the Tottenham clearance to get the ball straight back to Eze for his first goal of the afternoon, which was one of a match-high three chances he created on the day. Dynamic, all-action and supremely effective, Rice once again proved why he’s one of the best central midfielders in the game right now.

Bukayo Saka: 67%

Was an absolute menace down Arsenal’s right, putting in three crosses, creating two chances and attempting three shots, while drawing a match-high four fouls.

Eberechi Eze: 76%

Wow. Just wow. Three superbly taken goals, against the side he opted against joining to sign for Arsenal. A derby-defining performance and the true announcement of Eze’s arrival at the Emirates Stadium. It doesn’t get much better than this.

Leandro Trossard: 84%

So often frustrated by being rotated in and out of the starting line-up, Trossard was superb here. Took the opening goal brilliantly, provided the assist for the fourth, had seven touches in the opposition box and chipped in defensively with two tackles and five recoveries.

Mikel Merino: 51%

An absolutely fantastic pass for Trossard’s goal, and was involved in the build-up for the fourth. The rest of Merino’s afternoon was function rather than form, but it did the job for Arsenal.

Guglielmo Vicario: 62%

Given a torrid time by his leaky defensive line, but did his level best to keep some sort of respect in the scoreline.

Kevin Danso: 57%

His poor clearance went straight to Declan Rice, who quickly gave the ball to Eze to make it 2-0. Didn’t do a massive amount wrong apart from that, but was hooked at half-time as Thomas Frank looked to introduce Xavi Simons’ attacking flair.

Cristian Romero: 54%

Dragged this way and that as Arsenal relentlessly came forward. Tried his best to stem the flow, with seven clearances, two blocks, one tackle and one interception, while winning all five of his aerial duels.

Micky van de Ven: 50%

Couldn’t use his pace to stop the Arsenal onslaught. A real drop from the form he’s shown recently.

Djed Spence: 54%

Dropped behind his defensive line to keep Trossard onside on the opening goal. Had no effect going forward and was often swamped by Arsenal’s movement.

Joao Palhinha: 54%

Won the ball back to get the assist for Richarlison’s goal, which was one of a match-high eight tackles, alongside three clearances and three recoveries. Beaten too easily by Eze on Arsenal’s second, but this could’ve been much worse without Palhinha’s efforts.

Rodrigo Bentancur: 50%

Was partially at fault for both of Eze’s goals, though he was unfortunate to see his block bounce back to Timber for the second. Tidy with the ball, but far too safe and regressive with his passing, which is a criticism that has been levelled at him a few times this season. Brought off in the 66th minute.

Destiny Udogie: 49%

Torn apart by the Timber/Saka combination, though he did his very best to hold back the tide. Sold himself far too easily on Arsenal’s fourth, though it was a desperate, last-ditch effort to keep Spurs in the game.

Mohammed Kudus: 55%

Was Kudus on the pitch? Zero shots, zero chances created and just 10 passes completed.

Wilson Odobert: 55%

Barely had an impact on the match, creating just one chance and failing to register a shot, while he didn’t have a single touch inside the Arsenal penalty area. Brought off alongside Bentancur.

Richarlison: 63%

What a goal, though it’ll come as little consolation to him or anyone else associated with Spurs. Richarlison was totally isolated here, having just 24 touches of the ball — the least of any outfield player to complete 90 minutes — and completing just five passes. Lost all four of his aerial duels.
