Arsenal’s transfer business is gathering pace ahead of the 2025/26 season with the signing of Martin Zubimendi finally being announced.

Arsenal won’t register two first-team players next season as crucial transfer decisions made

Andrea Berta has now added two players to the Gunners squad this summer, with goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga signing from Chelsea earlier this month. With the Arsenal players returning for pre-season training, focus now turns to adding more new faces to Arteta’s squad.

club are working on a deal to sign Viktor Gyokeres. Since the transfer window opened, it has been a two-horse race between the Swede and RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, but talks with the Bundesliga side have stalled.

Reports on Sunday have claimed that a fee of £56.1m plus £13m in add-ons has been offered to Sporting, and personal terms are believed to be a formality.

Beyond a striker, which is currently the priority, Arsenal are expected to complete the signing of Christian Norgaard. The deal remains at an advanced stage, with the Danish midfielder expected to arrive for around £10m.
