Latest Arsenal news with the Premier League fixture schedule providing challenges for the Gunners and title rivals Liverpool

could be set for a huge Premier League title boost within the next nine days. The Gunners are now seven points off leaders Liverpool following their 2-2 draw against Everton but the gap could be cut down significantly this month in what would be a dream scenario for Mikel Arteta.

Arne Slot’s side have four Premier League games in the next 12 days with three of those sure to pose a significant challenge. Arsenal could put the pressure on Liverpool’s clash against Wolves this Sunday as they face Leicester in the early kick-off on Saturday.

Arsenal toughest five Premier League fixtures left

Nottingham Forest (A) – Wednesday, February 26

Everton (A) – Saturday, April 5

Bournemouth (H) – Saturday, May 3

Liverpool (A) – Saturday, May 10

Newcastle (H) – Sunday, May 18

Verdict: Though Arsenal won the reverse fixture 3-0 back in November, Nottingham Forest are a different beast at the City Ground.

Liverpool, Aston Villa and Tottenham have already discovered that with Nuno Espirito Santo’s tactics often perfect up against the bigger teams.

That clash kicks off a run of five games where the Gunners could struggle and that challenging period ends with a trip to Goodison Park. Having just seen Liverpool drop points away at Everton, regardless of their league position, it will always be a major task to leave with a victory.

As the season reaches its conclusion, Arsenal welcome Bournemouth to Emirates Stadium. Andoni Iraola’s side have already picked up points away at Newcastle, Chelsea and Manchester United which makes it entirely possible they do the double over Arteta’s side.

If the title race is still alive, Liverpool vs Arsenal at Anfield in gameweek may decide where the silverware goes. If it is still tight at the top, a clash the following weekend against Newcastle in north London will almost certainly decide it with Eddie Howe looking for a fourth victory over Arteta in this campaign.
