Hello and welcome back to football.london’s Arsenal transfer live blog on Tuesday, July 14.
The Gunners have enjoyed a busy month so far with three new additions confirmed and three more in the works. Just over £70m has been spent to sign Kepa Arrizabalaga, Christian Norgaard and Martin Zubimendi.
Noni Madueke looks set to be the fourth arrival of the summer, having had his medical on Monday. Breakthroughs for Viktor Gyokeres and Cristhian Mosquera have also been reached, with the latter seemingly set to cost just under £15m.
Andrea Berta is currently ironing out the final details of Gyokeres’ deal, with his representatives in London. Rodrygo and Eberechi Eze are other targets, with talks held for both; the latter is set to be pursued alongside a wide forward.
So, with that being said, stay with us football.london as we bring you all the latest Arsenal news and transfer gossip…
More on Rodrygo and Eze…
According to The Athletic, Arsenal still want to sign an additional attacking player. The report claims that the Gunners are interested in Rodrygo and Eberechi Eze, but Andrea Berta may not pursue a deal until later in the summer.
The Real Madrid star faces an uncertain future at the Santiago Bernabeu, having struggled to force himself into Xabi Alonso’s side at the Club World Cup. Meanwhile, the England international has just enjoyed an excellent season, firing Crystal Palace to FA Cup glory.

Osimhen remains available
According to Fabrizio Romano, Galatasaray have rejected Napoli’s latest proposal for the transfer of Victor Osimhen. The 26-year-old striker, who has been linked with a move to Arsenal in the past, spent last season on loan with the Turkish giants.
The report claims that the Serie A outfit asked for €40m (£35m) up front, with (€35m) £30m to be paid by 2026 and a sell-on clause. It’s said that Galatasaray want an extra year to pay the add-ons, with no sell-on clause.

Madueke dilemma
According to The Athletic, Noni Madueke is expected to sign for Arsenal before they leave for Asia this weekend. But, having played at the Club World Cup for Chelsea, the 23-year-old winger may not join Mikel Arteta’s squad until they return to London Colney.
It’s said that the Gunners have agreed a deal with the Blues; they’ll pay an initial £48.5m, with a possible £3.5m in potential add-ons.

Mosquera flies to London
According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, Cristhian Mosquera left the Valencia Airport in a private plane at 7:30am local time this morning ahead of a potential transfer to Arsenal. The 21-year-old defender has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer as Mikel Arteta looks to bolster his backline.
The report claims Mosquera will undergo a medical and sign a long-term contract once he lands in London. Marca reckons that the Arsenal boss has been key to getting the move done, personally speaking to the player.

Arsenal race to wrap up Gyokeres deal
According to The Athletic, Arsenal are on the verge of finally signing Viktor Gyokeres, with a deal in principle in place with Sporting. The report claims that the Gunners have agreed to pay €63.5m (£54.8m, $74.2m), plus €10m (£8.6m, $11.7m) in potential add-ons.
It’s said that Arsenal hope to close a deal for the 27-year-old before they jet off to Singapore on Saturday. Mikel Arteta always wanted to bring in a new striker this summer, and he appears to have got his man.
Sweden’s Viktor Gyokeres is very close to making move
Good morning!
Hello and welcome to the football.london live blog, covering all the latest Arsenal news.
The Gunners had a slow start to the summer transfer window, but they’ve recently shifted into gear, with Mikel Arteta expected to welcome lots of new faces to the Emirates Stadium.
Andrea Berta could wrap up deals for Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke, Eberechi Eze AND Cristhian Mosquera in the coming weeks. Arsenal jet off to Singapore later this month, so the Italian will certainly have his work cut

Gyokeres compared to Sesko
The club have got their striker, the choice has been made and it is not the player that it appeared to be at the beginning of the window. Benjamin Sesko was the club’s primary candidate for the role but with talks that took place with RB Leipzig it became clear a reasonable deal could not be agreed.
As a result, the club’s sporting director Andrea Berta has pivoted to a profile he certainly elevated the view of since arriving at the club in March, Viktor Gyokeres. football.london is aware that the club were across the Swede’s progress in Portugal before the summer of 2024, but still Sesko was in the manager Mikel Arteta’s eye.
In comparison to Sesko, there has to be an argument that the pressure is even higher for the soon to be former Sporting CP player. Some might argue that the pressure was always astronomical for both, and they would be right, but for me, the pressure is slightly more on Gyokeres for one key reason, his age.
Viktor Gyokeres is under immediate pressure at Arsenal that Benjamin Sesko might not have faced to the same level
Trossard to Fenerbahce
While Bayern Munich remain interested in Leandro Trossard, Fenerbahce are attempting to wrap up a £20million deal for the Arsenal forward, according to The Times.
Reports suggest that Trossard has agreed personal terms with the Turkish side after talks with Jose Mourinho, who was able to convince the player of his vision and project.
The 30-year-old scored 10 times and provided 10 assists in 56 appearances for the Gunners during the 2024/25 season.

Left winger dilemma
Arsenal still hold a genuine interest in Rodrygo, Anthony Gordon and Rafael Leao, but a move for a left-sided forward will require either Leandro Trossard or Gabriel Martinelli to depart, according to Ben Jacobs.
The Gunners have been active strengthening their squad and signing a left-sided attacker could be on the menu before the end of the window. Rodrygo, Gordon and Leao have been long linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal next focus
Arsenal’s focus after securing a deal for Viktor Gyokeres is finding an attacking midfielder, according to journalist Ben Jacobs. It’s added that talks for Eberechi Eze are set to continue this week, with the Gunners expected to make a formal approach to Crystal Palace.
Mikel Arteta’s side want to understand if a deal is possible away from Eze’s £68million release clause. The 27-year-old has two years left on his contract at Selhurst Park.

Viera to Palace
Arsenal have initiated contact with Fabio Viera to discuss the possibilities of him making the move to Crystal Palace this summer, according to reports.
Mikel Arteta’s side are looking to sign Eberechi Eze from Palace and want to include Viera as part of a player-plus-cash deal to send the England international in the opposite direction.
Reiss Nelson is another player Arsenal have considered offering, after he spent the season on loan at Fulham.

Gyokeres talks
According to A Bola, meetings on Monday have left a ‘positive feeling’ around a move to Arsenal for Viktor Gyokeres. The player’s representatives are split between London and Lisbon, working on different ends of a transfer.
The big issue right now has been deciding what the £8.6m in bonus payments will be comprised of. It has been made clear that Sporting want all of the bonuses to be made achieveable, with president Frederico Varandas wanting to achieve an extra £6.5m in his first season.

Trossard exit
Bayern Munich have switched their attention to securing the signing of Leandro Trossard from Arsenal, according to BILD.
Trossard joined the Gunners from Brighton in January 2023 and has scored 28 times in 124 matches across all competitions.
Bayern are desperate to strengthen their wide department and have identified Trossard as a target, with a move for Luis Diaz looking dim.

Eze latest
Arsenal remain in contact with Eberechi Eze’s agent, but they are yet to enter talks with Crystal Palace, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Eze, 27, has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer as the club look to strengthen their attacking department.
The England international, who scored 14 goals and provided 11 assists in 43 matches last season, has a release clause of £60million in his Palace contract.

Mosquera medical
Cristhian Mosquera is expected to imminently fly to London for his Arsenal medical and complete the formalities of a move, according to Cope.
The Gunners want to add a centre-back to their squad this summer and Mosquera, 21, is the man that has been identified, having impressed for Valencia last season.
Mosquera, who has one year left on his contract at the Mestalla, has informed club directors of his desire to sign for Arsenal in a package worth around £17million.

Nwaneri contract latest
Arsenal could confirm another deal this week in addition to Noni Madueke, Cristhian Mosquera and Viktor Gyokeres joining.
With the Gunners set to fly out for their pre-season tour in less than one week, multiple transfer announcements will be needed and a fourth statement, arguably just as important as those signings, could arrive over the coming days.
According to BBC Sport, Arsenal are set to make a formal new contract offer to Ethan Nwaneri. Talks are set to accelerate with there a growing hope that he will agree to the new deal that will be a five-year deal, or four with the option to extend that by another 12 months
More on Gyokeres as finer details of transfer emerge
Arsenal are continuing their quest to sign Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres.
The Gunners have identified Gyokeres as the striker they want to sign this summer after months of speculation. Arsenal have been widely tipped to sign a new centre forward for nearly two years, with Gyokeres likely to be the player that puts an end to the rumours.
Portuguese newspaper Record has claimed that an “agreement is in sight” for Arsenal to sign Gyokeres and their latest update also includes other details.
Gyokeres Arsenal transfer latest
Viktor Gyokeres’ agents are in London with the aim of wrapping up his move to Arsenal from Sporting CP in the summer transfer window.
The Swede has had his full focus on joining the Gunners with a breakthrough in talks found on Sunday and an agreement in principle arriving after that.
Alongside deals for Noni Madueke and Cristhian Mosquera, it now looks as though Gyokeres looks set to become another summer arrival for Mikel Arteta.

Rodrygo message to Chelsea star
Arsenal transfer target Rodrygo could seal a shock move to Chelsea with summer signing Joao Pedro potentially as a secret weapon.
The Brazilian has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League this summer, congratulated Pedro on the Blues’ Club World Cup win. The Real Madrid star said: “Congratulations J, you play great [red heart emoji].”
His comment has sparked a frenzy among sections of the Chelsea fanbase, with many calling on Maresca to wrap up a deal.

Arsenal transfer ‘agreed’ after Madueke
The big Arsenal transfer headline from today thus far actually does not involve Viktor Gyokeres.
Though an agreement in principle with Sporting CP for his transfer is in place, it is a different target closing in on a move to north London.
Cristhian Mosquera of Valencia is set to join for just under £15million with an agreement for Noni Madueke agreed last week. The Chelsea star now looks set to have his move confirmed having passed a medical on Monday.
