There could yet be exits, too. Gabriel Martinelli is reportedly an option for Bayern Munich, while Leandro Trossard was linked with a move to Saudi Arabia on the final day of the 2024 summer transfer window.

Arteta will hope to have the majority of his squad sorted by the first pre-season game, which takes place on 23 July.

Viktor Gyokeres sacrifice for Arsenal move

According to Fabrizio Romano, Viktor Gyokeres has accepted to give up €2m from his salary to facilitate talks.

Sporting are said to have been insisting on a higher fee compared to what Arsenal has been proposing.

But the Swede is reportedly “trying his best” to ensure the deal can be done by giving up money in order to make it happen.

Negotiations have been underway but angst has grown with Mikel Arteta keen on acquiring a striker before the pre-season tour in Asia.

There has been talks with RB Leipzig over Sesko but the German’s valuation was deemed too high and as a result, Gyokeres is now the main target.
