Arsenal will be aiming to kickstart their 2025 in a North London derby showdown with Premier League rivals Tottenham on January 15.

Mikel Arteta’s side were knocked out of the FA Cup over the weekend as the Gunners lost a penalty shootout to 10-man Manchester United at the Emirate Stadium.

Arteta’s charges have failed to win in their last three games in all competitions, but they remain second in the EPL rankings, with Spurs 12th, after no wins in their last four league outings.

Arsenal vs. Tottenham lineups, predicted starting 11, team news

Alongside the defeat to Ruben Amorim’s visitors, Arteta also lost Gabriel Jesus to a first-half knee injury, with the Brazilian facing an extended spell on the sidelines.

Jesus will join Bukayo Saka on the list of absentees with Ben White, Ethan Nwaneri and Takehiro Tomiyasu all at least another two weeks away from a return.

Arteta will make late calls on the fitness of full-back pair Riccardo Calafiori and Jurrien Timber, with the latter replaced in extra time against United, but Declan Rice and Thomas Partey are due a starting recall.

Tottenham were dragged to extra time by fifth-tier Tamworth over the weekend before Ange Postecoglou’s side eventually sealed a 3-0 win. He will rotate for this game, after resting some key players from the start, with Dejan Kulusevski, Son Heung-min and Dominic Solanke all due to start.

However, injuries continue to be a major issue for Spurs with Guglielmo Vicario, Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie amongst eight absentees for Postecoglou.
