Former Arsenal star makes ‘crazy’ transfer admission after Premier League return links

Latest Arsenal transfer news and gossip as former Gunners star Serge Gnabry makes an honest admission about his future with Bayern Munich

Serge Gnabry of Bayern Munich

Former Arsenal star Serge Gnabry has expressed his disbelief at the rumours linking him with a move away from Bayern Munich.

Gnabry first joined the Gunners in 2012 at the age of 16 and went on to spend four years in North London, which included a loan spell with West Brom, before leaving the Emirates Stadium.

The 29-year-old is now a star for Bayern Munich after joining the Bundesliga giants in 2017, and even scored against Arsenal in the Champions League quarter-final fixture in Germany back in April.

However, recent months have seen Gnabry linked with a move away from Bayern, with there even being suggestions a return to the Premier League may be on the cards.

The German club have signed Michael Olise from Crystal Palace for approximately £50million this summer, who is expected to provide competition for Gnabry on the right wing.

As a result, there has been increased speculation surrounding Gnabry’s future at the Allianz Arena. However, it seems that the Germany international is not concerned about the rumours and is instead focused on his future with Bayern.

“To be honest, I find it a bit crazy how wildly people are speculating back and forth, not only about my name but also about the names of my teammates,” Gnabry told Suddeutsche Zeitung. “Especially since we all have valid contracts and are still playing football at the highest level.”

“I have been playing professional football for over ten years; I know what it’s like,” Gnabry added.

“New players are brought in every year; that’s just the way it is. We all know what to do in a situation like this; it’s about not worrying too much about it and concentrating on ourselves.”
