Mo Salah has reportedly already decided who he wants to play for next season after providing a bombshell update on his contract situation.

Salah, who is fourth in Liverpool’s all-time scoring charts, is out of contract in the summer and his situation has becoming a huge talking point in recent times.

The Egyptian hasn’t let the the talk affect his performances on the pitch in the slightest, scoring 20 goals to fire Liverpool to the top of the Premier League and the Champions League.

In November, he went out of his way to reveal the club had not presented an offer to him and last month he again confirmed there had been no update on the matter.

Going into the clash with Manchester United at Anfield, Salah sat down with Patrick Davison of Sky Sports and said it was his “last year in the club”.

Pressed on his phrasing, Salah stated: “So far? Yes. Into the last 6 months, there is no progress there, we’re far away from any progress, so we just need to wait and see.”

A new report from Foot Mercato states that Paris Saint-Germain are watching developments very closely and that Salah’s representatives have been in “continuous discussions” with the French giants.

It’s common knowledge that sides in Saudi Arabia have been courting Salah but it’s noted “no club has taken any concrete step” to bring him to the Middle East.

Mo Salah’s priority is to remain at Liverpool.

In fact, the report claims Salah’s priority is still to extend his stay with Liverpool and “continue his adventure” in the Premier League.

However, he has reportedly been bothered by a lack of movement and his decision to talk about his situation is said to be an attempt to put pressure on both the club and his management.

Contract talk not taking its toll

Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold are all currently set to leave Liverpool but the Egyptian is making a conscious effort to ensure he remains completely focused on the pitch.

He has arguably been the stand-out player in the Premier League this season, performing at an incredibly consistent level.

“What I say to myself is that if it’s the last six months, what do you want to see in the future?” Salah explained on how he is avoided distractions.

“Do you want to look back and say that I was worried or stressed about the contract? Or do you just want to say that I had an incredible season? That’s what I have in mind. If I ever get distracted, I just tell myself I want to look back and say I had an incredible season. That’s what I want to do.”
