Gabriel Jesus will never play for Arsenal again after ‘cut-throat’ Arteta decision
Gabriel Jesus should find a new club straight away as Mikel Arteta reshapes his Arsenal squad ahead of the new season.
The Brazilian has experienced an injury-tormented spell at the Emirates Stadium, yet he has still recorded 26 goals and 17 assists in 96 appearances since an £45million move from Man City in 2022 [BBC Sport].

He made just six Premier League starts last term after sustaining a long-term knee injury, which saw him sidelined since the Gunners’ FA Cup clash with Man United all the way back in January.
Jesus has been working tirelessly to regain full fitness ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, providing updates on social media for the supporters who have been tracking his off-pitch progress.

Viktor Gyokeres’ arrival spells the end for Arsenal star
However, having joined Kai Havertz on the treatment table, the manager was missing a major piece of the Arsenal puzzle, which saw them lose out on the Premier League and Champions League titles – a centre-forward.
Arteta remains under pressure at Arsenal, with supporters growing tirelessly of not having won silverware since the 2019/20 FA Cup, but with Andrea Berta appointed, transfers are flowing in North London.
While huge deals for Martin Zubimendi and Noni Madueke have been completed, fans have focused on the arrival of marquee signing Viktor Gyokeres, who completes the squad ahead of next season.

With 97 goals across his previous two seasons with Sporting CP, there are few concerns over his ability to adapt to life in the Premier League, but it raises questions over the current strikers.
Arsenal duo Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus at risk
Out of the Arsenal duo of Havertz and Jesus, Mick Brown told Football Insider that the Gunners are open to accepting an offer for the latter part of the window, no longer having a place in Arteta’s plans.
Now being viewed as the third-choice striker, slipping to the bottom of the pecking order in North London, it appears that the Brazilian no longer has a part to play for the Gunners in a cut-throat decision from the manager.

With Jesus still working his way back to full fitness, staying home while Arteta’s side jet out for pre-season preparations, it is becoming clearer that he may have already played his final game for the club.
He has been a brilliant servant for Man City and Arsenal over the years, even writing his name into the history books during the former’s Centurions seasons, but his injury problems will have played a role in the new decision.
