BREAKING NEWS : Liverpool to join Marc Guehi race after mega bid submitted

Liverpool and Arsenal are among the sides likely to join the race for Crystal Palace star Marc Guehi this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

Tottenham launched a late-window, £70million bid for the Palace skipper as a potential solution to their defensive injury crisis – but saw the offer rejected.

Meanwhile, Chelsea considered a big-money move to bring the defender back to Stamford Bridge in the mid-season transfer window.

It is believed that his price tag is likely to drop in the off-season with Guehi out of contract in June 2026.

Guehi is attracting interest from much of the Premier League‘s traditional ‘big six’ – while Newcastle are also planning to rekindle their interest after failing to sign him last summer (2024).

Palace are desperate not to let the England international enter the last 12 months of his deal with losing out on a big transfer fee not an option for the Croydon club.

The ex-Chelsea star is now a regular for England and has played 90 minutes in each of their last three games after starring at last summer’s European Championships.

He joined Palace from the Blues in 2021 for a reported fee of £18million.

Liverpool and Arsenal are fighting for the Premier League title and are almost certain to be playing Champions League football again next season, while Chelsea and Newcastle are scrapping for a top-five finish.

Tottenham held the strongest interest in Guehi last month but currently sit 14th – and are only likely to qualify for the Champions League by winning the Europa League.
