BREAKING NEWS : Premier League confirm huge Michael Oliver decision after Arsenal and Liverpool controversies
Latest Premier League news with a shock omission made from the officials announced to take charge of the upcoming fixtures
The Premier League have made a surprising Michael Oliver decision
The Premier League have opted to give referee Michael Oliver a free midweek following the March international break. The return of domestic football is still a number of days away but preparations have been made and confirmed for matchweek 30 in the Premier League.
FA Cup quarter-final action is on the agenda first however, with Bournemouth vs Manchester City, Preston vs Aston Villa, Fulham vs Crystal Palace and Brighton vs Nottingham Forest the remaining four ties.
Two London derbies in Arsenal vs Fulham and Chelsea vs Tottenham have been pencilled in either side of the Merseyside Derby between Liverpool and Everton.
The reverse fixture in the latter saw numerous major talking points arise, with one of those centring around Oliver who officiated the clash at Goodison Park.
James Tarkowski scored a late equaliser in that game with tensions boiling over after the final whistle that saw Curtis Jones, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Liverpool boss Arne Slot all shown red cards. He has also been involved in some controversial Arsenal decisions this season.

In January’s 1-0 victory away at Wolves, Oliver showed a red card to Myles Lewis-Skelly for violent conduct.
The decision was later rescinded but he faced so much criticism that he was taken off referee duties for his next game which happened to be Arsenal’s clash at home to Manchester City.
