Breaking-news Victor Osimhen Signed for Liverpool
Imagine Him and Wirtz: Liverpool Must Sign £64m Striker After ‘Private’ Meeting
Liverpool will immediately dominate Europe and become favourites to get their hands on the Champions League if boss Arne Slot and members of the Anfield recruitment department can follow up the pending arrival of Bayer Leverkusen talisman Florian Wirtz with the big-money addition of Napoli star Victor Osimhen when the transfer window reopens.
The Reds wasted no time finding a replacement for the now-departed Trent Alexander-Arnold, thanks to Jeremie Frimpong completing a £29.5million switch after his release clause was triggered, but the reigning Premier League champions are determined to become even more of an attacking force.
Slot’s spending will not stop there as Liverpool are set to shatter the British transfer record by signing Wirtz in a deal worth up to £116.5million, after an agreement was reached on Friday, and the acquisition of Osimhen would be a game-changer as the Merseyside giants aim to add further silverware to the trophy cabinet heading into next season.
Osimhen Would Take Goals Burden Off Salah
Nigeria international mentioned as possible Anfield recruit
GMS sources recently revealed that Osimhen’s name was mentioned as a potential target during a private high-ranking transfer meeting at Liverpool last week and, with there being uncertainty over the long-term futures of Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota, he would be the perfect recruit to take the goalscoring burden off Mohamed Salah’s shoulders.
Although the striker has been described as ‘world-class’ by three-time Premier League title-winning manager Jose Mourinho, he is not on course to have an opportunity to reignite his Napoli career, meaning it is the ideal chance for Slot to offer a permanent route out of the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
Osimhen showcased his talent by enjoying a prolific loan spell at Galatasaray, who are desperate to negotiate a permanent deal after his firepower spearheaded them to the Trendyol Super Lig crown and Turkish Cup glory during the 2024/25 campaign, but Liverpool must do all they can to turn his head if they want to aid their push for a historic season.
Osimhen Would Be Immediate Nunez Upgrade

Osimhen would take Liverpool’s squad to another stratosphere as, despite having no Premier League experience under his belt, he has already proven over the course of his career that he is more prolific than Nunez and can be called upon far more regularly than Jota, who has been forced to contend with a worrying number of injuries during his spell on Merseyside.
To make matters even better for the Reds, they could also take advantage of a £64million release clause, meaning that Napoli would be left helpless and Slot would be able to head straight into discussions over personal terms in an attempt to beat Galatasaray to his signature as preparations are made for next season.
Wirtz’s arrival is already a tantalising prospect for Liverpool fans, but imagine him in the same attack as Osimhen. The sight of the duo, alongside the constant threat of Salah, would leave opponents fearing the worst as they begin the thankless task of attempting to wrestle the title away from Anfield.
