Hello and welcome to football.london’s live coverage of Chelsea vs Liverpool in the Premier League. It is a massive day of action for Enzo Maresca’s side as they look to take a giant step towards Champions League qualification.

Nottingham Forest’s defeat to Brentford on Thursday – whilst Chelsea were busy beating Djurgarden 4-1 in Sweden in the Conference League semi-finals first leg – was a big boost. Manchester City and Aston Villa have both played already, altering the complexion of the race for the Champions League places.



Newcastle United travel to Brighton at 2pm today, so we will bring you the latest score in that game as it happens as well in the buildup. Our attention is on Stamford Bridge, though.

Chelsea have won their last two league games and really needed to. They edged past Everton 1-0 last weekend and turned things around a fortnight ago to claim three points against Fulham.
