Chelsea Legends vs Liverpool Legends LIVE
A week on from a dramatic conclusion in the Premier League, Chelsea and Liverpool meet again, but this time it’s the legends who will be in action at Stamford Bridge in a high-profile charity match where plenty of entertainment is promised as a 20-year rivalry is renewed.
A team of Chelsea Legends – managed by Roberto Di Matteo and consisting of former heroes such as John Terry, Eden Hazard, Gary Cahill, Diego Costa and Joe Cole – will battle their Liverpool counterparts in a rematch from seven months ago when a second half brace from Peter Crouch sealed a 2-0 win for the Reds at Anfield.
Pepe Reina, Ryan Babel, Yossi Benayoun, Robbie Keane and Natasha Dowie are set to feature for the visitors this afternoon and proceeds raised from the match will go to the Chelsea Foundation, the Chelsea Players’ Trust, which supports the welfare of those who made the club what it is today and will also support the life-changing work of LFC Foundation.
