Cody Gakpo – 7.5
Gakpo was a real livewire on the left flank for Liverpool and really effective with his final product. He created three major chances with his smart delivery and troubled the defenders with his running, before turning up in the right place to score a smart equalizer.
Alexander Isak – 7
A pretty lively and efficient performance from Isak! He troubled the defenders with his movement and link-up play, nearly scoring in the first half. The Swedish forward played a brilliant pass by teeing up Gakpo’s equalizer with some clever work in the box.
Florian Wirtz – 7
That was actually a really promising cameo from Wirtz! The German midfielder almost earned an immediate assist after coming on, making an excellent pass to Salah – who scuffed it. Wirtz was much better with his forward passes and defensive contribution, as he appears to be getting better and better.
Giorgi Mamardashvili – 5.5
A decent outing in his first Premier League start for Mamardashvili. He could not do anything about Caicedo’s thunderous goal, but made a few nice saves. Was sharp with his cross collection and looked big in the goal. However, he could’ve reacted better for the second goal.
Milos Kerkez – 5.5
Kerkez was a bit underwhelming on the left-back role again. He did a decent job defensively, but gave away the ball too many times. Failed to add much going forward or create any prominent chances.
Alexis Mac Allister – 4.5
Mac Allister’s shocking slump continues into the 2025/26 season. HE absolutely lost track of Caicedo and allowed him to go through on goal for his strike. Mac Allister misplaced quite a lot of passes and failed to create anything noteworthy for Liverpool.
Conor Bradley – 4
Bradley had a nightmare in trying to defend against Alejandro Garnacho. He lost all five duels against Garnacho in the first half and also got booked. Failed to do much going forward and taken off at half-time.
Mo Salah – 3
What has happened to Salah? He was absolutely shocking in the final third. Salah tried a few shots on goal in the second half, but almost every attempt went into the stands. He frustrated teammates with his poor final product and looks a shell of his former self from last season.
