HT: This was absolute theatre. You couldn’t take your eyes off it. So much intensity that eventually boiled over with the dismissal of Gordon. Newcastle were aggressive and in Liverpool faces from the off but couldn’t get the goal. Liverpool then nipped in front when Gravenberch’s long-range effort skipped home. Gordon then boiled over and crashed into a very late and forceful tackle on Van Dijk. VAR deemed it a red card.
