Early Arsenal vs Fulham Injury News: 5 Players Ruled Out With 5 In Doubt

Arsenal could be without six players for their next game against Fulham, whereas the Cottagers could be without four names.  

Mikel Arteta will be delighted during the international break, as his Arsenal side are at the top of the Premier League table, one point clear of last year’s winners Liverpool. The Gunners are favourites to win the league now, and Arteta hopes that his side’s good form can continue after the break.

When Arsenal return to Premier League action, they face a short away trip to Craven Cottage to play a tough Fulham side, who are currently 14th under well-rated manager Marco Silva.

But how could the two teams look for the game on Saturday 18 October, as both teams could be missing some big name players due to injury.

Firstly, Fulham have two players ruled out, one of which is key striker Rodrigo Muniz, who is dealing with a hamstring injury.

He won’t be able to return for the game against Arsenal, and there is doubt whether Fulham will have him before November. Marco Silva said last week: “Let’s see if we can have him back before the November international break.”

Furthermore, full-back Kenny Tete will also miss the Arsenal game, as he is dealing with a knee injury. It isn’t as severe as Muniz’s, but he won’t be back in time for the 18th.

Striker Raul Jimenez is a doubt with a groin injury, and had to pull out of international duty for Mexico. If Fulham miss him too, they won’t have either of their first choice strikers. Midfielder Sasa Lukic is also a doubt, as he is dealing with a muscle injury that he picked up in their last game against Bournemouth.

The Gunners could be without six players for the game at Craven Cottage on the 18th. Firstly, Gabriel Jesus remains out until potentially next year with his long-term ACL injury.

Kai Havertz will also miss the game with a knee injury, which is expected to keep him out of action until late November based on current reports. Noni Madueke is on a similar timeline to Havertz, as the former Chelsea winger is dealing with a knee injury too.

In terms of Arsenal doubts, centre-back Piero Hincapie is hoping to return from his groin injury against Fulham, but it isn’t fully clear whether the summer signing will be available yet.

Martin Odegaard is also in doubt, as he is being assessed with a knee injury, it forced him to withdraw from the Norway international squad. Reports indicate it could be more serious than feared, so even tough he’s listed as a doubt, Odegaard is less likely to feature against Fulham.

Declan Rice is dealing with a minor back injury that he suffered in the game against West Ham, but he is expected to feature in Thomas Tuchel’s England side so should be back and available for the Fulham match.
