Kenny Dalglish reacted to criticism directed at Florian Wirtz. The Liverpool midfielder has made only one goal contribution in nine games this season.
“The first thing he needs is to continue doing what he is doing right now. He receives the ball well at his feet, opens up, controls the passes.
“As soon as he finds a connection with the others… by the way, this kid is capable of standing up. Rash and I have learned a lot in training.
“I told him, ‘If there is free space, just leave it, I’ll play, and you do your thing.’ It’s simple,” said the former Liverpool forward and coach on the Stick To Football podcast.
