LATEST CONFIRMED TRANSFER NEWS: Crystal Palace: Oliver Glasner issues Marc Guehi and Eberechi Eze update amid Liverpool and Tottenham links

FA Cup winners looking to kick season off with a win after Community Shield triumph
Oliver Glasner has confirmed that Marc Guehi and Eberechi Eze will start for Crystal Palace in their Premier League opener this weekend, despite being linked with moves away from Selhurst Park.
Tottenham have held talks over a deal for Eze, while Guehi is into the final year of his contract and has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool.
Eze, the 27-year-old, has a £68million release clause which expires today, and Glasner is confident the midfielder will stay in south London.
On the pair, Glasner said at his pre-match press conference that he was anticipating both his star players to be included in his starting XI against Chelsea.
“Marc has trained the entire week with us, every single training session, the same with Ebs,” Glasner said of the pair.
“They’ve prepared the best way for the Chelsea game on Sunday afternoon.
“I’ve been in the football business for too long, so I know that at any time of any day, things can happen. If you ask me now, I expect both Marc and Ebs to start on Sunday.”
Tottenham are keen to add depth in midfield following injuries to James Maddison, who is set to miss the majority of next season with an ACL injury, and Dejan Kulusevski, who underwent knee surgery in May.
Thomas Frank refused to comment on Eze’s future in the lead-up to their UEFA Super Cup defeat to Paris Saint-Germain, but the Palace midfielder, who contributed 14 goals and 11 assists last season, has been identified as a top target.
Summer signings Mohammed Kudus and Joao Palhinha both starred for Tottenham as they fell agonisingly short of lifting their second trophy in the space of four months, but Frank added post-match that he needs reinforcements in the closing weeks of the window.
Guehi, meanwhile, is keen on a switch to the Premier League champions, who want to pay less than Palace’s £40m valuation for the 25-year-old defender.
