LATEST REPORTS 》Arsenal to sell Riccardo Calafiori’ – Fans erupt after injury news
Arsenal fans have vented their frustration at Riccardo Calafiori after the defender picked up another injury concern while on international duty.
The Gunners have faced a number of injury setbacks this season, with key players like Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus, and Kai Havertz all spending time on the sidelines.
Calafiori had impressed Arsenal fans earlier in the season, after making the move from Bologna following an impressive Euro 2024 showing, but has seen any momentum halted.
The 22-year-old has already missed 16 games for the Gunners this season, adding to the club’s injury woes.
Calafiori was part of Italy’s team for their recent 2-1 loss to Germany, but his time with the national team was cut short when he suffered a knock during the match.
With Arsenal already dealing with a long list of injuries, this latest blow has only added to the frustration surrounding the team.

Riccardo Calafiori latest injury adds to Arsenal’s growing concerns
Fabrizio Romano confirmed on X that Calafiori has suffered a knee injury while on international duty, with reports suggesting it is a “knee collateral injury.”
The injury is believed to be between grade one and two, meaning it’s not as serious as initially feared, but Arsenal will await final confirmation from the club’s medical staff.

The Gunners paid a hefty £42 million to bring the Italian defender to the Emirates, but his time at the club has been marred by injuries. He has already suffered five separate injuries during his short spell at Arsenal, leaving fans frustrated with his lack of consistency.
With Oleksandr Zinchenko linked with a possible Arsenal exit and Kieran Tierney nearing a free transfer move to Celtic, the left-back options could be looking increasingly slim come summer.
Arsenal fans losing patience with Calafiori as Myles Lewis-Skelly rises to the challenge
Mikel Arteta has turned to the club’s academy amid the injury crisis, with Myles Lewis-Skelly emerging as a potential first-choice left-back.
The 18-year-old has impressed in his performances, earning a call-up to the England senior team, where Lewis-Skelly marked his debut with a goal.
Since Calafiori’s return to the squad, his opportunities have been limited due to the rise of Lewis-Skelly, with the Italian defender being benched for their most recent match against Chelsea.
Fans have grown increasingly frustrated with Calafiori, with many calling for his sale after just a few months at the club.
One fan expressed their frustration, saying, “Tired of him already. Injured almost every month” while another added, “Sell Calafiori. He ain’t even that good to keep seeing past his injuries.”

Why did we sign yet another player with a demonstrated history of injuries. Last summer ranks up there as one of the worst in Arsenal history.

With the way he plays it’s no surprise he ultimately got injured. It’s been a problem before even coming to Arsenal which makes the signing even more questionable

I think it’s difficult to have the inverted LB AND have Ødegaard at LCM. Is I’d like us to sell Calafiori back to an Italian club and get Kerkez to overlap at LB instead.
