Liverpool Sign Young Centre-Back Lucas Clarke from Man City

This continues the trend of recent years to stockpile and invest heavily in English and greater UK prospects.

According to academy-focused journalist Lewis Bower, Liverpool FC have signed U16 centre-back Lucas Clarke from Manchester City.

Since Brexit came into effect, Liverpool have focused on bringing the top English and UK prospects, with Harvey Elliott, Ben Doak, Trey Nyoni and Rio Ngumoha amongst the standouts who have come through to the Academy at Kirkby from other clubs’ academies.
