Liverpool are reportedly weighing up a move for Bayern Munich defender Dayot Upamecano, according to Bild.
The Reds could act if Ibrahima Konaté leaves Anfield for free in 2026, with Real Madrid strongly linked with the Frenchman.
Upamecano has been on Liverpool’s radar before, and the club view him as a natural fit to replace Konaté should the need arise.
Real Madrid are said to be monitoring Konaté closely, with the defender’s contract situation leaving him open to an exit. Their insistence on Konate will only grow after William Saliba agreed a new deal with Arsenal.
Liverpool are preparing contingencies after signing Giovanni Leoni, and Upamecano has emerged as another candidate.
