Liverpool fans all say the same thing about Curtis Jones after what he did vs Fulham

Liverpool fans were unanimous in their verdicts of Curtis Jones after his performance at right-back against Fulham on Sunday.

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s injury – and impending Liverpool exit to Real Madrid – has put the right-back role under the microscope at Anfield, with both Jarell Quansah and Jones deputising in recent matches.

Jones started in his new role for the first time against Everton in midweek and went without incident, but against a Fulham side with their tails up, Slot’s entire backline were run ragged in a rapid first half spell.

Alexis Mac Allister’s stunning opener was quickly rendered moot as the hosts netted three goals within 14 minutes at Craven Cottage; Ryan Sessegnon, Alex Iwobi and Rodrigo Muniz ripping up the script.

Conor Bradley, touted as Alexander-Arnold’s long-term successor, came off the bench to set up Luis Diaz for 3-2 following a controversial second-half incident, but a late Liverpool comeback wasn’t to be.

Curtis Jones costs Liverpool with key error v Fulham

Having avoided conceding an early penalty after Caoimhin Kelleher wiped out Andreas Pereira in the box, Liverpool looked to be onto a winner as Mac Allister found the far corner from range to put them 1-0 up.
