Liverpool fans have demanded the club sell one player after their draw against Newcastle United.

On Wednesday night, Liverpool had the chance to maintain their nine-point lead at the top of the Premier League with a win against Newcastle at St. James’ Park.

However, Newcastle found themselves ahead after Alexander Isak’s stunning finish in the 35th minute.

Arne Slot’s men equalised in the 50th minute before Anthony Gordon restalled the lead for the Magpies with 62 minutes on the clock.

Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah then scored twice in the 68th and 83rd minute.

However, Fabian Schar had the last laugh as he netted to make it 3-3 in the 90th minute.

During the match, Liverpool fans were left fuming with Darwin Nunez’s performance and have called for the club to sign Isak as a replacement.

On social media, one fan said: “Sell Nunez, buy Isak.”

Another tweeted: “No one is ever gunna convince me that Darwin Nunez is good enough to play for us!! Isak on the other hand..”

A third fan added: “Liverpool will not win the title with Darwin Nunez as our nine, he has been dreadful tonight! Just compare him with Isak, the difference is massive.”

Someone else wrote: “Isak is probably 5 times the striker Darwin Nunez will ever be. I can’t believe we spent £60m on him.

Darwin Nunez struggled as Liverpool dropped points against Newcastle United.

A fifth commented: “Never start Darwin Nunez for the rest of his Liverpool career.”
