Mo Salah Slams Liverpool Account’s ‘Disrespectful’ Post About Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez

Mohamed Salah
Mohamed Salah has taken to social media to criticise a Liverpool account for ‘disrespecting’ two of his former teammates. The Egyptian King has been an active presence online over the past couple of seasons, documenting the remaining moments of his time at the top of English football.
But as humble as the 33-year-old is – often keeping a low profile to avoid conflict – his latest post saw him hit out at a Liverpool account for showing disrespect to former players in favour of the club’s shiny new additions in the forward line over the summer as the Reds’ proactive recruitment team oversaw spending of over £400 million to fix the roof while the sun was still shining.
Salah Calls Out ‘Disrespectful’ Post From Liverpool Account

Much has been made of Liverpool’s spending this summer, fuelling hysteria among the fanbase, who now feel confident of retaining the title after breaking the bank twice – £116 million on Florian Wirtz and a further £125 million on Alexander Isak.
Amid all the excitement, however, some have gotten carried away, using the new era as a stick to beat the old one, despite the previous Liverpool squad having been successful in its own right. On X, an account called ‘Anfield Edition’ threw shade on Diaz and Nunez, prompting Salah to repost and respond (see below):
“How about we celebrate the great signings without disrespecting the Premier League champions?”
Salah can do no wrong in the eyes of his supporters, and his decision to put the world to rights in this scenario predictably led to another outpouring of praise. Despite all of Nunez’s issues, Liverpool stand by the principles of their anthem, “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” meaning any unnecessary criticism is often shut down very quickly.
Certainly, the Reds are in an even stronger position than last summer, but they have sold and lost several key players to get here – a fact reflected in the reality that their net spend isn’t the highest in the Premier League this summer, contrary to popular belief. Nunez will be missed for his pace and aggression, Diaz for his versatility, but the club remains in safe hands.
