Liverpool confident Mohamed Salah will extend contract despite Saudi interest – reports

Liverpool are optimistic about reaching an agreement to extend Mohamed Salah’s contract, according to talkSPORT.

The 32-year-old Egyptian star is out of contract this summer, but despite interest from Saudi Arabia and across Europe, he is not currently in talks for a move. A £150m offer from Al Ittihad in 2023 was rejected, and speculation has continued, though Salah has done little to quell it.

Salah, who is enjoying a stellar season with 27 goals and 17 assists, is on track for his best-ever campaign. He’s just three assists away from matching the Premier League record for most in a season and needs five more goals to equal his 32-goal record from his first season at Liverpool.

With speculation of a Saudi move dwindling, it seems Salah is keen to stay at Liverpool, with discussions focused on his future at Anfield. In his time at the club, Salah has scored 243 goals and assisted 110, winning numerous trophies, including the Premier League and Champions League.
