A number of Reds will be involved in Europe’s ongoing World Cup qualifiers, including Conor Bradley and Florian Wirtz in direct opposition with Northern Ireland and Germany respectively.

 

Jeremie Frimpong, Cody Gakpo, Ryan Gravenberch and Virgil van Dijk are all part of the Netherlands’ squad, while Hugo Ekitike and Ibrahima Konate – who was taken off due to a fitness concern for Liverpool at Chelsea last time out – have been selected by France.

 

Alexander Isak, Milos Kerkez, Giorgi Mamardashvili, Andy Robertson and Dominik Szoboszlai are also set to feature for their countries.

 

Wataru Endo, though, has withdrawn from Japan’s squad.
