Liverpool ready to sanction overhaul for Arne Slot’s squad with THREE key players up for sale already.

The Anfield side are top of the Premier League but still planning changes in the summer.

Liverpool may well be sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League but Arne Slot’s side could experience a summer overhaul with three key players potentially being sold.

The Anfield side are on course to win the English top flight in Slot’s first campaign in charge on Merseyside, currently having a six point lead over second placed Arsenal and with a game in hand over the Gunners.

This is despite Slot only becoming Liverpool boss last summer after replacing Jurgen Klopp in the Anfield dugout following the German’s decision to stand down from his position after almost a decade of success which included winning both the Premier League and Champions League.

The Reds are also in the last 16 of the Champions League, have reached the Carabao Cup final where they will face Newcastle United, and will take on Plymouth Argyle at Home Park this afternoon in the FA Cup fourth round.

Liverpool made only one signing in Slot’s first summer in charge, bringing in winger Federico Chiesa from Juventus for a transfer fee of £10m.

The Reds did also not bring in any further reinforcements in the recently closed January transfer window, so aside from Chiesa is largely the team which Klopp assembled before departing.

It is likely there will be changes in the squad in the summer and a report has now emerged suggesting three key players could be on their way out of the club in a major overhaul of Slot’s side.

According to Anfield Watch, attackers Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz could leave the Merseyside club in just a few months from now.

The report states that both Nunez and Diaz will be targets for the Saudi Pro League in the summer, by which time the players will have three and two years left on their respective contracts.

Portuguese international Jota will also be entering the final two years of his contract by this summer and there is doubt over his future owing to his injury record.

Diaz joined Liverpool from Porto in January 2022 for an initial £37.5m transfer fee, while Nunez arrived that summer for an initial £64m from Benfica.

Jota meanwhile joined from Wolves in 2020 for a potential transfer fee of up to £45m.

Nunez has 39 goals in 127 games for the Anfield outfit, while Diaz has found the back of net on 36 occasions in 130 matches.

Jota meanwhile has 64 goals in 165 games for the club.

Chelsea are reportedly considering making a massive move for a Liverpool star who has already admitted he wants to leave the club.

Unlike the summer, Chelsea remained relatively quiet during the winter transfer window, deciding against bringing any new players to add to their already large squad.

Instead, the Blues focused on departures, sending top players like Ben ChilwellJoao Felix and Axel Disasi away on loan while selling several young players.

But now, it appears that Enzo Maresca is preparing to make some big moves in the summer of 2025, as a new report has claimed that he has his sights set on a top Liverpool player.

On Thursday night, Liverpool progressed to the 2025 Carabao Cup final after sealing a 4-0 win in the second leg of their semi-final match with Tottenham Hotspur, taking the tie to 4-1 across both matches.

Key to the success of the Reds across their campaign in the domestic competition has been Irish international Caoimhin Kelleher, who has started in nets throughout both competitions.

And it would appear that his impressive performances for Liverpool have not gone unnoticed, as TBR Football’s chief correspondent Graeme Bailey has reported that Chelsea are among some of the clubs looking to sign the 26-year-old this summer.

Despite his reliability for Liverpool in recent years, it is believed that the Irishman will leave Anfield this summer after the club decided to sign Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvil last year.

With Mamardashvil set to return from his loan spell at Sevilla in the summer, Kelleher looks set to move on, and Chelsea will reportedly consider making a move to solve their current issue at the back.

Throughout the season so far, Maresca has struggled to find a keeper at the club ready to step up and be their number one, with both Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen not impressing when given the chance.

And after Kelleher previously admitted that he would be open to leaving Liverpool to secure more regular minutes, he could make the perfect option at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking in a press conference while playing for the Republic of Ireland in September, Kelleher said: “I made it clear in the last few years that I want to go somewhere and be a number one.

Liverpool fans blame Arne Slot for ‘shocking decision’ he made against Nottingham Forest that ‘cost them the win’

Liverpool fans are disappointed with Slot’s decision

Liverpool fans have been left blaming Arne Slot for his ‘shocking’ team selection as his side drop points to high-flying Nottingham Forest.

Arne Slot’s side were forced to settle for a draw at Nottingham Forest, as his side had to come from behind following an early Chris Wood goal.

It was far too easy for Forest, as the surprise package of the Premier League season burst through the Liverpool defense in the eighth minute.

However, despite the best efforts of the inspired Matz Sels, Liverpool eventually equalised as substitute Diogo Jota scored from a corner with 15 minutes left.

Jota was initially left on the bench by Slot, who opted for Luis Diaz in the striker role, which didn’t go down too well with supporters.

Diaz’s lack of impact was made even more damning when Jota combined with fellow substitute Kostas Tsimikas, to score just 25 seconds after replacing the Colombian.

Diaz only managed one shot in 75 minutes despite operating as the number nine, and fans took to social media to show their frustrations.

One fan commented: “Desperate for a striker. As much as I like Díaz up front, we really need a focal point. A proper striker.”

Another added: “Luis Diaz is not a striker btw, stop playing him there.”
