‘Super naive, idealistic & stubborn’: Liverpool fans tear into Arne Slot after Champions League exit

We deserve to be in the quarterfinal…

Liverpool fans have turned on their coach Arne Slot following the club’s Champions League elimination at the hands of PSG.

The Reds’ European dreams were shattered after a 4-1 defeat on penalties, and fans are pointing fingers at Slot’s tactical decisions and inexperience.

Fans took to social media to express their frustration and disappointment, with many slamming Slot’s decision to pick Darwin Nunez and Curtis Jones for penalties.

Timothy Steve: “Slot is super naive, super idealistic, stupidly stubborn, he deserved this wake up call —— terrible coaching masked with a little luck every week, well, luck ran out We need to force players on him & sell his favorites or this is the last major success we’ll have.”

Cindymodel: “I blame slot for this. Imagine picking Nunez and jones for penalties !! I just feel sad for Mo Salah”.

Wakeup: “tried to be over smart and play his best 11 against Southampton. I’ll put the entire blame on manager here. And yeah stop blaming Darwin Nunez – he was the reason Liverpool won the first leg”.

May: “Slot you are to blame. You know the amount of pressure Nunez is under at this club already. To give him such a difficult task and expect him to follow through is disgraceful. I’m not nunez’s biggest fan at all but I don’t even blamehim. The manager should’ve done better.”

RBS: “This loss is on Slot idc he made so many reckless and odd decisions, then the players not showing up because of shit half baked game plan as well idc about none of this shit what even is this
