The Reds are reportedly prepared to activate Huijsen’s £50m release clause, viewing him as a potential successor to Jarell Quansah, who may depart Anfield either on loan or permanently this summer.

Huijsen, who transferred from Juventus to Bournemouth for €15m last year, has made a significant impact in his debut Premier League season.
