Saka set to make his long-awaited return

Bukayo Saka could return to action when Arsenal host Fulham in the Premier League on Tuesday.

The Gunners have been without the England international since December after he suffered a hamstring tear at Crystal Palace at the end of 2024.

But having stepped up training during the international break, the 23-year-old is now ready to return to action.

Mikel Arteta has been without his first choice front three all year with Kai Havertz’s season over after his hamstring injury in mid-February.

Gabriel Martinelli also missed four games with a hamstring issue of his own but was back in action in March, coming off the bench against Manchester United before coming into the starting XI against Chelsea.

While his attacking options are certainly bolstered, Arteta remains without a centre forward with Gabriel Jesus also still out for the season.

Mikel Merino, who continued his goal scoring form for Spain during the international break, is likely to continue in his new role up top.
