Transfer news LIVE!

We are entering the final few days of a hectic summer transfer window and Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham are all still pushing for more major signings before Monday night’s earlier 7pm BST deadline. Arsenal are now closing in on a deal for Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie as Jakub Kiwior prepares to head to Porto.

Chelsea have agreed a £40million deal with Manchester United for Alejandro Garnacho and are in continued discussions with Barcelona over Fermin Lopez, though Spurs have won the race for Xavi Simons after settling on a £51.8m fee with RB Leipzig. Simons has joined Tottenham with Spurs also joining the race for Manchester City defender Manuel Akanji.

Liverpool are plotting a huge second swoop for Alexander Isak after Newcastle appeared to finally open the door by agreeing to sign Nick Woltemade, with Marc Guehi still also firmly in their sights. Manchester United are close to a deal for Belgian goalkeeper Senne Lammens, though have denied Kobbie Mainoo a late loan exit from Old Trafford. Arteta excited for Eze bow

Mikel Arteta says Eberechi Eze will “love” making his debut at Anfield – and Arsenal will adapt to get the best out of their new maverick playmaker, writes Simon Collings.

Eze completed his move to Arsenal last week from Crystal Palace as part of a deal worth £67.5million.

The transfer, however, was not completed in time for Eze to feature in Arsenal’s 5-0 win over Leeds last Saturday.

Eze has instead had to wait for his debut, but he has trained all this week and is set to be in the squad for Sunday’s clash with Liverpool.

Arteta believes the 27-year-old will relish making his Arsenal bow at Anfield and is confident he can be hit from the off.

It’s all kicking off tonight. Just hours after accepting an offer from Real Betis for Antony, Manchester United have now agreed a deal with Napoli for Rasmus Hojlund.

Reports claim the Serie A champions have agreed a deal to sign the Dane on a season-long loan deal.
