Savinho staying put

 

Manchester City have rejected Tottenham’s move for Savinho.

 

According to reports, the Brazilian has been told he will NOT be leaving the Etihad Stadium this summer.

 

Furthermore, it is claimed that City boss Pep Guardiola played a big role in keeping Savinho as his stance proved decisive as the club were initially tempted to sell

 

Jackson talks

 

Chelsea are in talks with Aston Villa for Nicolas Jackson.

 

This is according to Sky Sport Deutschland, who claim Villa have made their move for the Blues striker after raising cash thanks to the sale of Jacob Ramsey to Newcastle.

 

Journalist, Florian Plettenberg wrote on X: “Aston Villa have added Nicolas Jackson to their shortlist and are closely monitoring his situation. Talks have already taken place.

 

“Several clubs are interested. FC Bayern have also gathered information, but a move to Munich is not happening.

 

“The 24-year-old versatile striker is still on the verge of leaving Chelsea. Aston Villa now there.”

 

DONE DEAL: Romero signs!

 

Cristian Romero has signed a new Tottenham contract, a week after being named as the club’s new captain, writes Matt Verri.

 

The 27-year-old had entered the final two years of his previous deal and went into the summer with doubts over his long-term future in north London.

 

Atletico Madrid were keen admirers of Romero and he spoke last season of his desire to one day play in Spain.

Eze breakthrough

 

Reports in Spanish press claim that Crystal Palace have made a ‘breakthrough agreement’ with Leicester to take on Bilal El Khannouss.

 

Palace are said to have agreed to pay £25m for his services, plus £3m in add-ons.

 

The Moroccan is seen as a replacement for Eberechi Eze which is good news for Tottenham as they look to beat rivals Arsenal to his signature.
