The summer transfer window has entered its final stretch with Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United among the clubs looking to get some big deals over the line. The Gunners are closing in on the signing of Eberechi Eze following a huge twist earlier in the week. A medical for the attacking midfielder is scheduled for today which means an official announcement should follow over the weekend.
Tottenham now must seek alternatives after missing out on Eze and have been linked with names such as Savinho, Morgan Rogers, Nico Paz and Maghnes Akliouche. Elsewhere, Liverpool’s pursuit of Alexander Isak appears to be gathering pace again as Newcastle are said to have agreed personal terms to sign a replacement. Also on the champions’ radar is Marc Guehi but that deal looks difficult to complete.
Meanwhile, Chelsea could use cash from a potential Nicolas Jackson sale to fund moves for Alejandro Garnacho and Xavi Simons. Manchester United want a new midfielder, and have turned attentions to Eduardo Camavinga, Angelo Stiller and Lucien Agoume. Follow the latest transfer news, gossip and rumours live below!

Spurs’ ‘incremental’ recruitment steps has them behind rivals
Standard Sport’s Matt Verri was at Thomas Frank’s press conference ahead of Tottenham’s trip to Man City this weekend, and he feels that Spurs have made “incremental” steps on the recruitment front, but are being left behind by their rivals.
Dortmund interested in Cresswell
David Ornstein reports that Borussia Dortmund have approached Toulouse over deal to sign former Leeds defender Charlie Cresswell.
The Bundesliga side’s opening bid for the 23 year-old centre-back was rejected as it fell below Toulouse’s valuation, but talks remain on for the England youth international, while Dortmund also maintain interest in their Aaron Anselmino pursuit, who they want on loan from Chelsea.
West Ham make Magassa bid
West Ham have submitted a bid for Soungoutou Magassa.
Standard Sport understands that the Monaco midfielder is high on Graham Potter’s priority list as the Hammers boss looks to strengthen his engine room after the pending loan departure of Edson Alvarez.
Frank stands by Richarlison
Thomas Frank dismissed reports linking Richarlison with a Spurs exit.
“Right now he is my starting nine. He scored two top goals”, said Frank.
“Richy wants to stay, I want to keep him and there’s been no talks about anything else.”
The Brazilian forward was reportedly offered to Crystal Palace as part of a deal for Eberechi Eze, who is now bound for Arsenal.

City and Galatasaay agree Akanji fee
Galatasaray have submitted their contract offer to Manuel Akanji’s representatives after reaching a £15m agreement with Manchester City.
The Swiss defender has yet to make a decision on his future and is currently weighing up his options.
According to the Daily Mail, Pep Guardiola is aiming to streamline his squad and has set a £15m valuation for Akanji.
The 30-year-old centre-back joined City from Borussia Dortmund for the same fee three years ago and played a key role in their historic treble-winning campaign.

Arteta: Havertz injury had no impact on Eze swoop
Mikel Arteta insists Arsenal have not swooped for Eberechi Eze because Kai Havertz has suffered a knee injury.
Havertz has been dealing with a knee issue since last Sunday’s game at Old Trafford, which Arsenal won 1-0, and will miss Saturday’s game with Leeds, but the full extent of his injury is unknown as Arsenal are still assessing him.
But Arteta says Arsenal have not simply swooped for the 27-year-old because of Havertz’s injury, referencing how earlier this month he said the club were “actively looking at options” before the transfer window shuts.
“I think it was very clear what I said, that it (Arsenal’s transfer business) wasn’t done,” Arteta said on Friday afternoon.
“Obviously, we were very active, trying to look at the possibilities that could come. We are not reacting to anything, we have been very prepared and understanding what we could. And we have decided this is the moment to do it.”

Silva furious at lack of Fulham transfer activity
Fulham manager Marco Silva has routinely called on the club to be more proactive in the market and heading into the final 10 days of the transfer window, the Fulham manager said his side needed strengthening.
Silva said: “How we should feel as a club – At this stage of last season, we had 2-3 players in. This season, we had a plan, the plan has fallen through. It’s our fault, not active at all. We cannot be pleased at all.
Fulham have focused their efforts this summer on keeping the core of their squad together.
They look to have kept hold of striker Rodrigo Muniz despite interest from Atalanta and are expected to open contract negotiations with the Brazilian after the window closes.
Attention now, though, will turn to incoming signings, with Fulham keen to bring in a winger before the deadline.
