Palace have left it ‘very late’ to sign replacements – Glasner
Oliver Glasner says Crystal Palace have left it very late to make additional signings with just ten days remaining in the transfer window.
He said: “My job is to prepare the team. I am not involved in the transfer stuff that is going on. I just know that he (Eze) was not available today. We are very late.
“We have ten days to go (in the transfer window) to find the right replacements. Again, I think we could have done much better than we did. It is not criticism, it is just telling facts.”

Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of Douglas Luiz from Juventus.
The move sees the 27-year-old Brazil international move on loan with an obligation to buy based on the number of games he plays for the Premier League club.
Forest also hold the option to make the transfer permanent for a fee in the region of €30million (£25.9m) in case he doesn’t appear in the required amount of matches.
On signing the deal, Luiz said: “I am really happy to be here, it’s a big Club and I decided to come here because I can see the ambition the Club has. I am so excited to start with the team and give my best for the shirt and the fans.”

Upon joining the club, the one-time Denmark international said: “I’m a happy guy, very excited to get started. I had some very, very good talks with the coach and I’m coming here to play.

Doyle joins Wrexham from Man City
Wrexham have made Manchester City defender Callum Doyle their latest big-money signing after striking a deal that could earn the Premier League giants up to £7.5million ($10m).
The 21-year-old has signed a four-year deal after the Welsh club beat several Championship rivals to the defender’s signature.
An initial fee of £5million will be paid with further performance-related add-ons written into the agreement. The deal also includes a 25 per cent sell-on fee and a buyback clause for City.
Dortmund interested in signing Chelsea’s Anselmino
Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing Chelsea defender Aaron Anselmino on loan.
The Athletic reported in the Transfer DealSheet that Anselmino had offers from Champions League and Europa League clubs outside the United Kingdom but will not go to Strasbourg, Chelsea’s sister club.
Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca confirmed that a loan move for Anselmino was being planned when asked by The Athletic at a press conference on Thursday.
The club are prepared to let the 20-year-old go despite the anterior cruciate ligament injury suffered by Levi Colwill that will rule him out for several months.
Glasner on Eze: He told me he was ‘not well to play’

When asked about Eberechi Eze’s absence tonight, Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner told Channel 5 Sport: “Honestly, I expected that he (Eze) would start today for us. He called me this morning and told me that he doesn’t feel well to play this evening. Of course, I have to accept it. Everything else, you have to ask the chairman.
“I have to accept if a player tells me he is not ready to play. I called the player who would start in his place which is Justin Devenny.
“We don’t like to change the starting eleven on the matchday, especially in this situation. It is the first time playing European football for Crystal Palace. We have to deal with it.”
