UPDATE : The Florida Panthers secured their second straight Stanley Cup title with a commanding 5–1 victory over the Edmonton Oilers in Game 6 of the NHL Finals.
Led by Sam Reinhart’s four-goal performance, Florida sealed the series 4–2. Goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky made 28 saves, while Matthew Tkachuk also got on the scoresheet in a dominant team display.
Brad Marchand described the triumph as an unforgettable moment, saying the feeling was beyond words and highlighted the strength of the squad.

After winning their first championship the previous year, the Panthers became the first team since Tampa Bay (2020–2021) to win back-to-back titles. Unlike last year’s seven-game battle—where Florida nearly let a 3–0 lead slip—the Panthers comfortably controlled the final stretch this time around.
Bobrovsky called the achievement a dream come true, expressing pride in the team and the rare feat of lifting the trophy twice.
This marks the first time since Montreal defeated Boston in 1977 and 1978 that the same two teams have met in consecutive finals with the same winner. The Oilers, chasing their sixth Stanley Cup, are still without a title since 1990, while no Canadian team has lifted the trophy since Montreal in 1993.
Florida also became just the eighth NHL team to win the Stanley Cup on home ice in consecutive seasons, a feat last accomplished by the Oilers in 1987 and 1988.
