Viktor Gyökeres has accepted to GIVE UP €2M from his salary in order to facilitate negotiations between Arsenal and Sporting. Sporting insist on higher fee compared to Arsenal proposal… …and Gyökeres tries his best also giving up money to make it happen, as per Record.

Friday. New addition to Mikel Arteta’s side. ✅
Arsenal have an agreement in place on a five-year contract with Viktor Gyokeres and are now trying to agree a transfer fee for the striker.
Viktor Gyokeres looks set to join Arsenal this summer
Arsenal are on the brink of a stunning capture of Sporting’s prolific striker Viktor Gyokeres. The north London giants have reportedly secured terms for a five-year deal with the Swedish sensation, offering him a weekly wage over £200,000 after he bagged an impressive 54 goals last season.
However, Sporting are playing tough on the transfer fee, demanding around £70million – insisting on at least £60m upfront with additional payments in add-ons. Arsenal are said to be pressing hard to finalise the fee. Gyokeres, 27, is convinced there was a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ that would allow him to depart for £60m this summer and is eager to make the switch to the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal in ‘advanced talks’ over Viktor Gyokeres transfer as decision made
Despite Sporting president Frederico Varandas refuting any buy-out clause, negotiations between the clubs are advancing, and it seems increasingly probable that Gyokeres will don the Arsenal No9 shirt.
Securing Gyokeres would be a significant triumph for Arsenal’s new sporting director Andrea Berta, who is putting his reputation on the line with the former Coventry and Brighton forward, who has been a revelation in Portugal with 97 goals in 102 games.
Yet, doubts linger about whether Gyokeres’ goal-scoring prowess will carry over to the Premier League, especially as Arsenal’s top target last year was RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko, whom they pursued this summer but failed to land.
It’s evident that Berta favours Gyokeres over Sesko, a decision that Mikel Arteta also supports. Arteta is keen to have his new signings ready for pre-season.
Arsenal are splashing the cash in their quest for a new striker, with the recent acquisition of £51m midfielder Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad being a prime example.

The Gunners have also secured the services of goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga and are reportedly eyeing Valencia defender Cristhian Mosquera. A £15m deal for Brentford’s Christian Norgaard is also said to be in the pipeline.
Arsenal’s wish list includes a new winger, with Real Madrid’s Rodrygo being their ideal target. However, they’ll need to make a significant sale to fund all these transfers.
Interest from the Saudi Pro League in Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard has been reported, while Arsenal are believed to be monitoring Chelsea’s Noni Madueke, who is deemed surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.
Securing the future of 18-year-old Ethan Nwaneri is another priority for Arsenal. With just one year left on his contract and a desire for more playing time, the uncertainty surrounding his future – especially given his suitability for Chelsea’s style of play – is a major worry.
