That is despite reports that a scan on the striker’s thigh came back clear [Ben Jacobs], while Lewis Hall has travelled despite a more serious injury issue.

This comes after Football Insider revealed that Liverpool could move to sign Isak if the 25-year-old pushes for a move away from St James’ Park this summer.

Despite having completed a deal to sign Hugo Ekitike from Frankfurt, the Reds remain keen on the Sweden international who has been their top target this summer.
