WHERE DID THIS COME FROM Four clubs from four different countries are battling it out for Nunez. Arne Slot has made his decision!

Two Premier League clubs emerge to rescue Darwin Nunez from Liverpool nightmare as Arne Slot granted dream transfer
Nunez looks increasingly likely to leave Liverpool this summer.
Liverpool star Darwin Nunez is being tracked by two Premier League clubs ahead of a potential move away from Anfield this summer.
Nunez became increasingly extradited from the Liverpool starting eleven under Jurgen Klopp and has failed to become a key player under Arne Slot this season.
The Uruguayan has only managed seven goals across all competitions this season and looks increasingly likely to leave the club in the summer if the right offer comes in.
Nunez has been linked with a move to Atletico Madrid with Diego Simeone reportedly an admirer of the striker, but now two Premier League clubs have entered the race for the former Benfica man.
According to TeamTalk both Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest are monitoring Nunez’s situation, with the Carabao Cup winners wary they may have to replace Alexander Isak this summer.
Eddie Howe’s side are set to be rivaled for Nunez’s signature by Nottingham Forest if they secure Champions League football next season.
The report claims despite Chris Wood’s outstanding form a new striker is a top priority for Nuno Espirito Santo, with Ademola Lookman and Viktor Gyokeres also admired.
If Nunez is to leave this summer, it would force Liverpool to add a striker to their ranks which would likely please Slot who has made it very obvious what he expects from a number nine.
Slot outlines what he wants from his No.9
Speaking in February, the Liverpool boss stated that he wants all his attackers to help contribute with both goals and assists.
“‘Facilitator’, nice word, I didn’t know that one yet, and scoring goals himself – that is, again, what we want to achieve in the end,” he reinforced.
“In the end you want attackers and midfielders to score, we’ve spoken about our attacking midfielder as well.

“We need to get goals from many positions, including them and including centre-backs that can score from set-pieces also,” he continued.
Slot then singled out the number nine position insisting that assists won’t be enough for him and his striker must also be a frequent goal scorer.
“So, that’s what I just said, we are trying to work on the training ground and with the feedback we give them after the game to make the team better and better and better and in the end, the No. 9 should be a facilitator, like a winger, but a winger and a No. 9 should also score goals,” he added.

Arne Slot changed one huge rule that Jurgen Klopp had at Liverpool which might have helped them win the league
Slot has taken Liverpool to the cusp of the Premier League titles
Arne Slot inherited a Liverpool team blessed with title-winning quality and nine years of wisdom imparted by his predecessor, Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool play Tottenham Hotspur today knowing that a win or a draw will see them celebrating their second title of the Premier League era – this time, with Anfield full of jubilant Reds supporters.
The Dutch manager has taken the raw materials he was given at Liverpool and made the tweaks required to capitalise emphatically on the shortcomings of other title challengers.
Where Arsenal have faltered and Manchester City have failed, Liverpool have stayed the course.
If and when they confirm what looks like an inevitable Premier League title, few of their supporters will mourn the loss of a double, a treble, or even better. The league is the one that matters.
Slot will undoubtedly include Klopp in his post-match acknowledgements but he has made one significant change to Liverpool’s preparations that surely had a positive effect
Shortly after bedding in at Anfield, Slot told Sky Sports about the importance of a good night’s sleep.
“There was [already] a really good culture of players being on time, so I hate it if we have to talk about fines and these kinds of things for players being late,” he said.
“It’s normal that you’re on time. But that culture was already here, so maybe the only one – I’m not sure it’s a rule – but they used to go into hotels a lot the day before a game, and that’s what we’ve changed, because I and my staff feel the best place to sleep is your own bed, so it gives you the best rest possible.
“That’s one of the few things we’ve changed. So before a home game the players are in their own house, their own bed, instead of being in a hotel.”
There’s been a sense of inevitability for some months around the Reds’ imminent title win and the build-up to Sunday’s game against Spurs was dripping with anticipation.
Anfield was surrounded by Liverpool supporters eager to share a moment of Premier League glory together for the very first time.
Liverpool look certain to claim a joint-record 20th league title this season. Prior to Klopp’s behind-closed-doors triumph in 2019-20 they hadn’t won the league since Kenny Dalglish guided them to top spot in Transfer 1980-81
